12 FL. OZ can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black with a little bit of sediment apparent. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves negligible lacing.
I get some dark chocolate and roasted malt spiced with clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Some chocolate notes and more roasted malt. Spices associated with Christmas. Black coffee in the finish.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Decent beer

12 ounce can, packaged on 10/8/25 stamped on the bottom of the label. Kinda surprised to see this one around here since I haven't noticed many other Northern Row beers on the shelves here in Columbus, most if not all of the ones I've tried before I got from Brutaltruth. Purchased last weekend. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. The brew smells mostly like roasted malt, along with some cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's some oats and burnt/smoky flavors noticeable too. Seems more roasty/smoky tasting to me than it does Christmas spicy. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. Worth a try for sure if you like stouts, although this seemed more like a regular stout than a Christmasy one to me. Spices were muted in this one, I wish they had a little more of a kick here but it was still nice overall. Try this one if you come across it!
