Poured from a howler (32 oz) from Alberta Beer Exchange.
Appearance - Pours a jet black with two fingers of mocha head.
Smell - roasted malts, cocoa, coffee bean, earthy and leafy hops, cherry, and earthy yeast.
Taste - roasted malts, cocoa, and coffee bean upfront. The earthy and leafy hops, hint of cherry, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the roasted malts, cocoa, and coffee bean lingering.
Overall - A flavourful porter that displays the flavours of cocoa and coffee bean well. I just wish there was more cherry as this is a "chocolate cherry porter". Nonetheless, a respectable brew.
