Pina Colada Frosted

Milkshake IPA brewed with pineapple and coconut. Poured from a can into an Upland tulip. The pour is dark orange in color and very hazy (but not murky). Bonus points for the little bits of coconut floating around. The head is 3 fingers wide and very rocky. It dissipates slowly and leaves behind some fabulous cobweb-like lacing. On the nose I get a lot of pineapple as well as some lemon and toasted malt and a hint of coconut.

Medium light body with an oily feel and a fruity flavor. Up front I get flavors of fresh bread and pineapples with a hint of vanilla. At mid-palate, there is a hint of coconut as well as some American hops providing flavors of lemon, peach, and sweet orange. Despite the hops, this beer tends very far towards the sweet and fruity side, with enough bitterness to keep it honest. On the finish I get lingering flavors of pineapple and lemon.

Awesome milkshake IPA. Lots of fruit that may put off some hopheads, but it goes very well with the style. I'm really digging these beers from Sonder and will be heading back there for resupplies when these are all gone.
