After receiving molasses and maple syrup in the kettle, this Barleywine spent 9 months in Old Elk Wheated barrels before being transferred to Apple Brandy barrels for 11 months. Sweet apple, chocolate, and caramel aromas jump out of the glass, rounded out by flavors of vanilla, raisin, ripe berries, and oak

Look - black and thick with a nice initial head and great rimming
Smell - a little faint but still nice woody caramel
Taste - great caramel apple with lots of wood slight fig
Feel - full body light carb
Overall - fantastic
