Adorable ‘half-pint’ can, my first sip of this brewery. And no, I’m not sharing it with anyone.
The pour is black & has been dead most of the day.
M 3rd 25th Rye with Espresso, Coconut, & Vanilla is a smelting pot. First, it’s much less aggressive than I expected; the flavors are almost muted. Rye up front is cut gently by vanilla & some underlying sweet coconut. The espresso is what I credit the smoothing to leaving a trail of heavily milk-laden coffee spread across all the ingredients. Dull, sweet, heavy malts on the finish with no indication of alcohol. Vanishing fast.
Would have loved more rye barrel, or to have any of the ingredients come to the fore. As is, this is a very good, nicely balanced stout.
