Inky brown and opaque body; thin, brown head that slowly dissipates to a thin dark khaki circle of foam. Ripe bananas and dark chocolate aroma; a twinge of cocoa and coffee. Heavy sweetness to the flavor; bananas and vanilla; mild booziness; milk chocolate; bittersweet; maple sap (not quite syrup). Heavy, viscous mouthfeel; sludgy silkiness; sweet stickiness.
This heavy-duty imperial stout exudes sweetness with bold overtures of banana, vanilla and maple syrup - all ingredients listed on the can label. The beer oozes sweetness and hides its ABV level quite well, all things considered. This is a slow-sipper. Rich and decadent.
