Look - Pours a dark brown color with a light head that disappears after a minute or two.
Smell - Maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, cognac, and caramel.
Taste - A nicely sweet taste of maple syrup, vanilla, cognac, and cinnamon.
Feel - Easy drinking at 12.0%ABV. Nicely carbonated, with a pleasant sweetness.
Overall - A very good barleywine.
