L: Had this beer on-tap at Bingo, poured into a pint glass. Had a deep, dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a 3/4", creamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. No lacing to speak of.
S: A somewhat muted aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, and roasted malt.
T: Tasted of a bit of coffee (not a massive element), a lot of roasted malt (present throughout; a major factor), some dark chocolate notes (could've used more), and some dark fruit raisins, figs). Like the aroma, the flavor is kind of muted. It's not bad, but needs to be more aggressive. Still, it has some bright spots.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a very smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A very uneven beer, but it has its good attributes. Worth a look.
