The beer can says the name of this beer is Blanche but the can design is exactly the same as the photo shown here as Rhyme for Rhyme. Both are Witbiers and both are 4,7 .abv. Both feature Kaffir, an ingredient I have never experienced in a beer before. That being said, I will let Beer Advocate decide if they want to call "Blanche" a new beer or not. As far as I'm concerned they are probably the same beer. I poured this one from a 16 oz can into a flute glass. It features a small fizzy white head that fade fast and minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma includes some citrus (lemon and lime), a little wheat, and a little yeastiness as ell as a mystery aroma: floral, herbal and citrusy. This mystery aroma does not dominate the nose. A different story with the flavor! This mystery ingredient is probably the Kaffir. Kaffir leaves seem to possess all the qualities I experienced while drinking the beer. The strength of this flavor, the citrus/floral/herbal qualities and the fact that it completely dominates the taste, even if you can recognize standard lemon and lime zest and juice. The yeast and wheat, noticeable in the nose are overwhelmed in the taste. Not necessarily a bad thing, I prefer this to a beer that has a lot of lemongrass. It is the equivalent of bourbon barrel flavor in a beer. Either a little, a lot, or too much for the drinker. I characterize the kaffir as "a lot". I still liked the beer. Mouthfeel is crisp, tart and light with a very sharp kaffir presence. A good warm weather drink but not necessarily one that I would want to drink mass quantities of at the same time.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 03/24/21 12:01:00 L2"

Appearance: The body is somewhat hazy and pale gold. It has a short white head that doesn't last long in the glass; it fizzles away a bit slow but noticeable. No lacing.

Aroma: It has an interesting aroma which is very strong. It smells a bit like walking into a perfume shop or a head shop where multiple sticks of incense are burning. There's some patchouli aroma along with sandalwood, lemon, lavender, and coriander. It has a ton of aroma that only gets stronger the longer it sits in the glass.

Taste: Up front there is a ton of coriander with a light bit of pepper and a strong lemon zest. As it passes over the palate all of these flavors become stronger, and more floral characters become present. At times it feels like a bar of extremely floral soap was dropped into the beer can.

Mouthfeel: The body is on the upper edge of light with a nice fizzy squish of carbonation just as the beer goes down. It has a light slickness that gives it some texture. Drinkability is a bit low given the strength of the flavors in the beer in contrast with the beer itself.

Overall: The can states that this is a "WHITE ALE WITH LEMON & LIME ZEST & KAFFIR LIME LEAVES." It definitely has a lemon character but there also seems to be the addition of coriander which isn't on the label. Whatever the brewer decided to put into this beer it smells and tastes like a combination of a perfume, incense, and soap shop. It's very interesting and extremely memorable but I don't know that I would want to drink it again. It is very out of balance between the beer and the extra ingredients added. It's definitely worth trying if you like strange or experimental beers but I would recommend a single can or pour before buying anything more.

Canned on 03/20/20 stamp. Poured into a nonic pint.

A: Slightly hazy lemonade yellow with 1-finger frothy white head with persistent cap but no lacing.

S: Aroma requires patience to let the hot dog water aroma dissipate. After 5-10 minutes, the aroma has a fruity quality with some hints of lime and orange. Some hot dog still hangs around even after 20 minutes.

T: Flavor is a treat though with plenty of lime citrus character coming through mid-palate and a very smooth pale pils maltiness supporting. Low bitterness with a lot of fruity yeast esters contributing.

M: Not as creamy as I would like but very drinkable with low carbonation and light-medium body.

O: Interesting beer but it just seems like this beer was rushed a little bit.
