16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a clear deep golden color with a two-finger foamy white head that has great retention

S- bready and doughy malt on the nose, followed by equal part peppery and floral hops. Undertones of honey, cereal grains and a hint of caramel

T- sweet and malty up front with notes of honey, doughy malt and caramel. Mid-palate gives floral hops with a hint of a peppery note. The finish gives more malty sweetness that continues into the linger, along with some earthy yeast

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

Canned 3/4/21; drank 8/8/21 @ Hot Dog Vista.

Drank straight from the can; no visual cues.

Grain cereal, caramel & mild fresh flower notes in the nose & on the palate.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Substantial but easy to enjoy; I'd have another!

L: Dark golden. Clear with decent head retention
S: Malt dominates but some hop aroma as well
T: Smooth. A tad more bitter than a traditional helles bock, but otherwise to style
F: The malt makes it slightly viscous, but not overly so
O; Hoppier than a German Helles bock, but very tasty

Amber leaning copper and pretty clear, the white head does a fair job capping this body. Nose has a light honey malt with a little Maillard form toast and a hint of penny that I think I get from this in combination with certain yeasts. There's actually just enough of a lean away from an American lager towards the bock notes to not turn me away.

Taste has a fruity aspect on top of a little bit sweet malt base that shows a little more body than expected from the nose. Grapes with a squeeze of apple in their harder forms comes to mind thanks to the lack of shyness in the alcohol. The alcohol presence isn't overly boozy, but there is a definite warming aspect there. It pairs with whatever hops are used to add a sort of spearmint/eucalyptus aspect to the back of the beer.

A little sweet across the board, but the first half of the taste are closer to what I hope for in the style. The back gets a little challenging for me, but doesn't dip into the bad range.

Revisit two months later: not quite as sweet or fruity, seems a little time has tamed it a tad.

From the can, it pours a pale golden color with a modest white head that soon diminishes to a thin layer leaving some lacing. In the nose, it is malty with a touch of alcohol. In the mouth, it is nicely malty with some hop accents. Nice bock.
