Clear dark amber pour, with one finger of head that leave behind a thin but persistent lacing. Smells like honey, brandy, burnt caramel. Tastes like caramel, spices, lemon and some strong liquor, like bourbon, and is just a bit smoky. The beer has a bitter backbone which I can probably attribute to the wine barrels. The body feels very warm and soft, due to the barrel. The alcohol is a bit too present, but aside from that, this beer is not bad.
