$14 AUD per pint at the brewery.
Smokey and admittedly a biteen harsh, bringing bitterness to the fore but not acridity. My guess as to wood is beech, if only because I'm cynically presuming they just ordered in basic smoked malt from Weyermann and dumped it in the fermenter to tick the rauchbier box.
A bit overcarbonated. Mouthfeel isn't dialed in.
A no frills rauchbier that's balanced enough - and welcome enough to my sore eyes given the wanting diversity of Australian beer styles - that it warrants a try when at the brewery.
