Jalapeno Lime Gose
El Diablo is an exciting twist on our previously released Gose, which had a mellow sourness with a sea-salt and coriander finish. With this release, we've added a blend of two styles of Lactobacillus (Helveticus and Plantarum) as well as a hefty amount of jalapeno and lime. The spice and zest presence is a welcome addition to this beautifully-balanced sour beer.

Pale golden yellow pour - a touch less than clear with a scant short lived bubbly white head - sitting in the glass appears completely still without evident visible carbonation.
Aroma hits with a powerful note of lime, lime peel, margarita - a touch vegetal. As warmed some cereal malt and a bit of the pepper note.
Taste follows - distinct notes of lime, lightly tart/sour but with a buffering salinity, and cold just a hint of jalapeno at back of the palate. As warmed the subdued pepper spiciness builds with a very nice heat in throat and moving to the sides of the tongue.
Light bodied with a muted carbonation - the salty lime refreshes and a touch of heat sits in the upper esophagus. Easy drinking and quite enjoyable.
