Pixeled Brewing Company

 

Visited Pixeled the other week, when I was back in town. I had been loosely following the hype the past couple months, and was excited to check out Fargo's newest brewery. Being just a day or two after it opened, the place was understandably packed. Wall to wall, it was a sea of humanity. But, that didn't keep me from having my eyes light up with this childhood wonder of stepping foot into a completely new environment. If you didn't know by now, Pixeled isn't just a brewery, but also boasts the largest collection (as far as I know) of classic arcade cabinets in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Everything was there; Golden Axe to Rampage, Tekken to Mortal Kombat, DigDug to Frogger, Galaga, TMNT, Simpsons, Gauntlet, and so, so many more! I could finally enjoy a beer and game at the same time. It was really a fun time, and I cant wait to get back in the future. The only downside that I have is that there wasn't a super strong selection of beer. I didn't get the chance to try all of the brews on tap, but I wasn't blown away by the ones I tried. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them, but I think this place has a long way to go before it can compete with the beer behemoths of the F/M area.
Maybe I'll have to check it out before rush hour next time!
