Had on tap. Solid barrel aged barleywine, but I have had much better. Specifically, the bourbon did seem to fight the underlying spices, barley snarl, and the malt a little. The smell was very pleasant with all the flavors coming together decently in the aromatics.

Never had a barrel aged beer from bent river but this is pretty good.
The aroma is typical big American Barleywine with big citrus, herbal dankness, big carmel malt sweetness and alcohol spice.
The taste is citrus, herbal, carmel malt, alcohol, and some spicy hop notes.
The palate is full with a lingering maltiness and hop bitterness that stays.
Overall this is a good BA Barleywine that I am happy to have had.
