Had on tap. Sounded like a fun combo of the wheats in the ale, so I tried it out. Definitely wheaty, to the point the finish strikes the palate very dry, like a saltine. However it did fill in the body decently. The smell is chock full of wheat and macro adjuncts. Not as adventurous as one would have hoped

Cloudy burnt orange color, well carbonated. Aroma first comes off like wheat crackers and vegetables ,eventually yeast and malt came through. Taste was the same, not sweet, sort of like a dry cracker.

Brief impression from a bottle:

C / AVERAGE

***
02.07.18 2nd impression from another bottle sent to me by Craft Beer Club:

"Brewed with 50% white wheat malt." "Wheat ale." "Hop burst with a liberal amount of Amarillo hops." 5.5% ABV. 32 IBU.

Head stays around for a good 10 minutes, suggesting possible overcarbonation. White in colour and a bit thin.

Body is a cloudy orange-copper of average vibrance.

Aroma suggests soft wheat and weak 2 or 6 row barley, hinting at a beer that may lack a firm malt backbone. Hop profile is floral but timid with distinct notes of mandarin orange syrup. Seems like an underhopped thin attempt at a wheat ale judging by the aroma. Aromatic intensity is average.

Taste follows the aroma, hitting heavy on mandarin orange syrup (a pretty artificial note in and of itself) with some faint floral hop flavours and a thin weak wheat malt & 2-row barley backbone. Slightly watery. Overcarbonated, but not unrefreshing,

Light-bodied and approachable, but simplistic in build. Depth of flavour is adequate.

It's just a strangely built wheat ale that fails to showcase Amarillo well to any extent. I wouldn't knowingly buy it again, but I won't mind polishing off the other two bottles I was sent.
