Copenhagen 17/6 2023. 56,8 cl can from Lidl, Peter Rørdamsvej, Kbh. NV. As Warrior IPA. Grumpy Native American in black and white on a splashy red background on the label.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit harsh butter and sour grains. Sweet pale malts and cardboard. Oxidized apple, butter and grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is a bit dry.
By all means bitter but I could do without the harsh butter.

Bottle. Harcos=Warrior. Mid amber. Wispy head.
Smells of barley sugar stick, baking dough and stale hops. Marmalade is present.
Tastes similar. Quite yeasty.
A lightly carbonated feel with a bit of sweet stickiness.
Decent for Lidl.

De Lidl. En copa Teku. Jugando a Fortnite. El lúpulo está algo pasado de rosca, pero al menos no desagrada, tiene un buen puntito amargo y supongo que era barata

This is not bad at all for a Lidl beer. Especially for an IPA, it's quite dense and thick and there is quite some hop bitterness to it. The taste is altogether quite raw, almost like a home brew, quite fresh at the same time. However there is quite a remarkable malt sweetness to it that makes the balance fall apart, somehow it's not really consistent. Also it has not been dry hopped so it's more just an "intensive" IPA than a punchy/juicy/fruity one that is missing from the taste. I also reconsider: I think this is an English IPA made of English hops! Then, as such, it's quite great!
