Say hello to our new experimental series. It gives us a chance to try different things. For this particular batch (#1) we took the Kettle Charge hop bill (galaxy and rakau), amped it up and used a new expressive yeast giving it notes of pineapple, cantaloupe and banana.

A- Beyond pale yellow, straw golden pour from the tallboy into a becher. The head is a finger tall and has a puffy consistency and decent retention falling to small islands and a thin ring around the edges. Large sheets of lacing.
S- Fruity hops towards the softer and juicy sweet side of things with melon, cantaloupe, papaya, bubble gum and mango coming to mind. The yeasty banana note is interesting and on the milder side fitting right in with the fruity hops. A tad mellow.
T- The nectary sweet fruits open up things but the yeast comes on strong with a big spicy charge later on. Cantaloupe and melon with berry, grapefruit, bubble gum, herbal and floral notes. In the end a touch toward the drier side than a lot of recent IPAs.
MF- Super soft and fluffy light-medium bodied brew. Creamy and smooth. Carbonation at a high level and it ends with a moderate bitterness.
Interesting blend of spicy yeast and fruity hops. Throwing darts indeed and nice to try something that isn't just another random NEIPA retooled as a variety series.
