Surfing on the fruitier side of the mind, Vitamin Sea taps into Citra and experimental hops for a festive and fruity fare, if only for one state of mind.
Pale golden and carrying a heavy silt, Mind Surfing surfs into the glass with a creamy, sandy taupe while a creamy white head forms above. Herb and orange come together on the nose to suggest a character of citronella while an early taste of cereal, honeysuckle and light pastry dough.
As the hops spring to life, the forerunner in flavor starts citrusy with tangerine and mandarin orange, and a nod to mango. With hints of apricot, melon and lemon balm, an almost sherbet flavor comes about. Trending herbal and slightly drying, the late taste dives head first into fresh spruce, hemp, herb, chive, fruit peel and tea leaf.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the bitterness stands out to appease those who prefer a more bitter bite as it finishes on the drier side of malty-dry and with a medium long finish of hemp and gin-like botanicals.
