Teaming up with The Elovators, Vitamin Sea rolls out a Sabro and Simcoe hazy IPA that's a slight futuristic taste on a familiar foundation of throwback hops.
Delorean starts out with a moderately turbid pour of pastel burnish gold and taupe. Nearly opaque, the ale crowns with a creamy ivory froth before rounding the nose with citrus, tropical and herbal aromas in a creamy and grassy perfume. Gente and equally creamy on the initial palate, the beer's malty upstart is rife with cereal, shortbread and a hint of cookie dough.
As the hops pull from the grains, the middle palate starts to slowly favor the hops with their citrusy impressions of white grapefruit, slightly under ripened orange and a pep of lime. Turning tropical, the beer offers a soothing sense of pineapple and coconut that keeps the session smooth and soft. Moderately low in its bitterness and spice of mint, tea, hemp and grassiness comes with a soft spruciness in its later portions of taste.
Medium full, creamy and trending on the malty side of malty-dry, a creamy gin-like spice steps in late for a bitterness of mint, spruce and cream of wheat, and a linger of grain silt and citrus peel.
