APPEARANCE
Brilliant orange in color with a two finger head which fizzled out quickly
AROMA
Oh that is just heavenly. Massive amount of tart orange, vanilla, and marshmallow to last a lifetime. It smells like the most decadent orange creme soda ever.
TASTE
As close to a melted creamsicle as you will ever find in a beer. The vanilla and orange are just bonkers and the sourness is actually rather muted, but still there just enough to be detected. Usually with so much orange you'd think you're drinking something tropical or a juicy IPA, but the never ending onslaught of marshmallow and vanilla launch this into the dessert beer category, but keeps it light enough as to not overwhelm the palate. Delicious on all counts.
MOUTHFEEL
As stated before, this ranks pretty low on the sour scale, but honestly, I prefer my sour beers to not be a mouth-puckering experience, so that is fine by me. While so rich in sweetness, this isn't hard to put down. It feels much more massive than it's 6% abv and is really just a joy to drink.
OVERALL
One of Vitamin Sea's best offerings regardless of style. The entire Sour Pipe Project line is full of stellar selections, but I can say hands down this is my favorite. I wish it were winter so we could freeze it into ice blocks and skate on it and melt it in the spring time and drink it!
