2-month old can poured into a Teku glass.
Amazing deep-orange-gold coloring with a creamy haze and attractive glow. Big initial head of soapy white bubbles with solid retention and a good amount of sticky lacing. A few swirls of the glass brings back a finger of soapy, scoopable suds. Gorgeous beer and pretty much everything you could look for in a hazy.
Not a massive, in-your-face aroma profile (little bit of age showing?), but what's there is lovely. Dank greens, as advertised, but not crazy-weedy or oniony. Nice notes of sweet citrus juice and tropical fruits (mango, passionfruit, pineapple). A little berry and grape vine. Even a little bit of funky musk at the back end. Not charting new ground but rock solid and very inviting.
Taste follows, though the beer is drier than I expected. Pleasant bitter greens with some citrus pith and pine resin. Nice grapefruit twang on the finish. I get mango, peach, apricot, and maybe a little under-ripe pineapple. Just a touch of starch hidden in the greens but it isn't harsh and blends nicely into the bitter, pithy grapefruit finish. Really wonderful for a drier 8% hazy.
Silky smooth and velvety (as all quality hazies are) but this one has a nice coating element to it -- not sticky or chewy, but still bathes the teeth and tongue in a way that lingers. Maybe a hair thin. Drinks easy.
