Slate Town Brewing

Very out of the way. Downtown Granville.
Nice old space.
Reasonable selection of beer.
Good quality of beer.
Food selection is pretty good.
Worth the stop.

Small store front brewpub on the main drag with a strong dive bar vibe.. L-shaped bar perpendicular to the entrance on the right hand wall seats about 10 with a few tables about the room and on the sidewalk patio. Locals hangout.

 

Small brewery in a small country town in the adirondacks of NY. Good vibe, and comfortable seating at bar and sitting areas. Ok beer selection and quality.

A new addition to the Washington County, New York collection of brewpubs. Located in downtown Granville, Slate Town Brewing is well worth a visit. Ales range from mild to wild and they also serve ciders and wines from other local sources. Service is very friendly and the ambience is inviting with seating at the bar, tables, or some comfy sofas. Free bar snacks and a local pizzeria will deliver on weekends. I really like the Slate Trail APA and the Shore to Shore IPA. They have just introduced a Blackberry Berliner Weiss that is super.

Update 01/19/2020. They are now offering pizza, wings and fries. Pizza is very good and not your usual offerings.
Update 02/17/2023. Slate Town survived Covid and is thriving. No more live music but that may change. Much larger menu and a new brewmaster.
Update 11/20/24. Menu has expanded to include burgers, wraps, salads, as well as pizzas.
