Received from @r0rschach post NBS BIF 10 – Thanks John! Reviewed 2/15/20.
Undated 16 oz can. Stored at home at 42 degrees and served at 55 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 3.5
First pour – Light yellow, hazy.
Body – Yellow, opaque. When held to direct light, yellow and glowing.
Head – Small (Maximum one cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, medium density, average retention, diminishing to a two to three mm crown and a single bubble cap.
Lacing – Excellent! Wide bands of near-microscopic bubbles!
Aroma – 3.5 – Weak mixed citrus aroma which gradually fades.
Flavor – 3.5 – Kind of generic citrus juice, acidic and slightly bitter. Not really tasting any hash. No alcohol (10 % ABV as marked on the label.) No diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.25 (Minus 0.25 point for an undated can). OK Impy IPA which could alternatively be called a NEIPA. The hop flavors are mixed to the point of being muddled, making it like many NEIPAs. If I close my eyes and really concentrate, I can imagine some Lebanese Blonde in the aftertaste.
