Persistence was brewed to benefit Stache Strong Brain Cancer Research. It is estimated that more than 15,000 people in the United States die from Glioblastoma Multiforme every year.

It's the most common, and deadliest, primary malignant brain tumor in adults and we are proud to join the breweries that are supporting the Stache Strong cause.

Persistence is an easy, hopeful, bright 5% pale ale hopped with Motueka and El Dorado. Salvador Dalí, with his signature state, and his melting time concept, is pictured on the can. Anyone that has had a loved one diagnosed with a deadly disease knows that time seems like it’s melting away much too fast.

We repitched our Kölsch yeast to ferment this beer, which aids the hops in giving off a lovely berry, watermelon, fruit cup flavor. It’s complex in its undertones, yet straightforward in its quenching, refreshing drink ability. The mouthfeel is light, the aroma is pleasant and the flavor opens as it warms.

It’s the perfect beer to drink out on the patio as the temperature climbs up into the 90s.

Beautiful golden yellow body; semi-hazy; sparse, coarse carbonation; thick, frothy head, white and creamy. Cracker-like aroma with a bit of citrus. Light malt taste with a moderately intense bitterness; very mild esters; a bit of white grapefruit. Medium body; crisp and mildly coarse on the palate; light juiciness yet finishes semi-dry.

A decent, low-key American pale. I didn't get any of the 'berry, watermelon, fruit cup' flavors the brewery touted, but it has delicate and refreshing quality that goes well after a hot day of bicycle riding.
