16oz can no date, purchased at the brewery 2-21-20, opened 2-23-20.
1/2" white head with short retention, holds at a solid cap.
Golden WCIPA with a slight chill haze. Bright but not 100% clean. Spotty lace.
First whiff is body odor, pineapple, grapefruit, green weedy stank, diesel fuel. More citrus and tropical fruit as it warmed and less of the other.
Bitter grapefruit, tropical fruit: passion and pineapple. Weedy but doesn't step into the onion/garlic realm. Enjoyed most as it warmed up toward the finish...became more complex with the ripe fruit flavors and less about the weeds/green flavors.
Bright entry, medium body and carbonation. Good-good. Medium length hop filled finish with a decent bitter punch.
Good. Super fresh and potentially "green", will have another can next week and adjust accordingly if necessary.
2-28-20 Moving this rating up, a week + in the can and the aroma has simmered a little on the BO and onion/garlic flavor lightened up as well.
Good to very good.
