Freight Yard Brewing

Big backyard area. A lot of people playing corn hole. Inside the tap room was odd. Maybe they are doing renovations. 8 different beers on tap. I had the kolsch with was good, not great. Bartenders were efficient but not friendly. Glad I tried it but probably would not come back.

This place was very cool. Their theme was cool being an old industrial railroad station but, come to find out the building itself was in fact an old railroad station. They still made it all feel real without coming off tacky. They even had an old luggage cart inside their taproom along with some old photographs of the establishment back in its day. Their vibe was very cool! I thought their beer was solid. They had an amazing session New England style ipa that blew me away being so thick and juicy yet very low abv, probably one of the best if not the best session ipa I've ever had (called N Gauge). They also had a very good BBA cider and a decent west coast IPA. Other than those beers the other 3 didn't really stand out to me. The service was awesome I talked to the head bartender about the history of the establishment along as the beers they make. Great service being knowledgeable and attentive. Their selection was OK in having 3 IPAs, 1 cider, 1 wheat, and a lager. For the amount of taps they had (6) they had a nice variety but, just wish they had a bit more taps of their beers on because, they did have other local guest taps. Overall great place and worth a visit!
