No dates on the can; normally that would keep me from purchasing it, but it's relatively local, so I figured I'd give it a try. But God knows how fresh (or not) this can is. . . .
A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is a nice bright golden with a small whitish head on top.
S: Nice citrus - lemony, oranges and grapefruit peel all come to mind. Not a strong nose, but it's nice.
T: Brown sugary malt foundation up front, then sweeter citrus - oranges, candied orange peels, and some ripe grapefruit providing bitterness at the finish. The sweetness returns, however, as the oily feel of this beer coats the palate and the brown sugary malt really seems to "stick". . . .
M: Medium in heft. A little oily up front, then a chalky dryness at the finish.
O: Mixed bag. A little too sweet for me. But I'd be willing to give this brewery another shot.
