Advertised as SLow Rated Beer.
Lindeboom is an excellent independent small brewer company with a very limited range of beers. Their pilsner is very good.
They have a range of abbey-style beers, named Guiverneur, 300ml bottle. They changed the labels a bit, but pretty much the same beer.
Poured in a LaChouffe glass at around 6 degrees.
3 Finger white head, good retention, medium carbonation, both in size and quantity
Pale, amber hazy colour.
Smells a bit like summer fruits, bit of roses, little oriental spice and some malts there. Not quite distinctive, but pleasant.
Taste follows smell. Lovely mouth feel. A little bit too malty bitter at the end for a blonde in this style, for my liking. But making it fresh, and compared to many competitors gentle but not too sweet.
Their top fermenting yeast doing a great job in this really natural product.
Good brewing.
Prefer some softer malt notes, but this is an excellent beer.

30cl bottle. Golden pale pour with a white head that gives way to a thin lacing. Smells like a typical Belgian ale - caramel, honey, floral aroma and Belgian yeast. The taste is mostly sweet, but not too sweet, with a bitter and spicy component - notes of honey, banana, apples, spices.

Served in a Snifter in Harlingen (Dutch north coast)

Appearance – Simple amber in colour this beer has medium head that dies quickly leaving little lacing. Slight hint of carbon.

Smell – The glass smelled of whiskey and water when it first came to the table, which says a lot about the taste.

Taste – It was not at all sweet but instead had a bitter first taste which became sweeter with each sip so that when the glass was empty it was quite mild on the pallet. This one is very malty like whiskey and the hops seem to skip by unnoticed.

Mouthfeel – Medium to full in the mouth. Slight metallic edge.

Overall – A pretty good beer. I had this on a very hot day on the Dutch north coast which may taint my opinion as I had been walking so damned long even a Bud would have been welcome. Still I rated it well and have fond memories of it so I will definitely try it again.

300 ml bottle at home, poured into my tulip glass. Two fingers of soapy white head, with very good retention after it loses hald of its initial height. Lots of bits and pieces floating around after my hard pour. Colour is deep orange golden. On the aroma yeast, some alcohol, hops and peach. Rich and full, somewhere on the back some malts too. Taste is quite sweet and malty, which in combination with the high alcohol make this beer taste like an imperial pils. Not necessarily bad, but lots of the elements on the nose are gone and only the alcohol and the malts , now much more pronounced, have remained. Thankfully, it leaves a bitter aftertaste with lots of hops. Medium body, carbonation slighty above average, just a bit dry on the palate. Now, this is not anything very special, but it’s an honest blond strong beer. It won’t make you love it but it won’t disappoint you either

30cl Bottle: best before Apr 2013, poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged tulip @ home on 7th Nov 2012.

Nice looking beer: light amber body that is clear and bright, on top a full, deep foaming head which although shrinks, does try and hang around for a while.

Malty nose of sweet molasses, some yeast notes too.

This is a fairly sweet Blonde and she knows it: biscuity, shortbready malts with a summer orchard of fruitiness along with the blossom. I prefer this sort of beer to the sour or bitter types and this Dutch Blonde and I would get along just fine at any time of the year, any where in the world.

It is a pleasure to review this nice blonde for the first time in Beeradvocate history, as it was a pleasure to drink it from the tap in Reuver (Café De Grens).

Many blondes don't know what to tell. Often too sweet or too dusty. This one also isn't a genius maybe, but at least it its how a 6.5 blonde should taste.

Golden looks. Top doesn't last very long. Smell is subtle
Malty ofcourse with a tiny apple and pear? Taste in line with the smell. Full body, not too bready. Perfect alcohol. Very drinkable.

Limburgers can brew!
