The first Oktoberfest dates back to 1810, and this style has been celebrated ever since! Enjoy Ignite's very drinkable take on this traditional malt-forward German style lager.

Acord reddish-amber with a a short khaki head.

Similar to Missing Mountain's, with a caramel-pumpernickel base, but contrasted by a vegetal sort of raw nuttiness to it that adds a little bitterness. After letting it warm up some, it improved only marginally.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This fest pours a very nice medium amber
with a fantastic head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and
shows off some excellent lacing. Nose of subtle toasted malts and a heavier grain
bill. Flavors lightly surpass the nose with a heavy cereal grain bill, toasted malts,
light breaded malt, and faint herbal hops. Mouth feel is medium with medium light
carbonation and a grain heavy finish that is a touch watery.

Overall, needs some work to escape the "micro but macro" flavor profile

12 ounce can, no dating on it that I noticed, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a somewhat clear orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head that stuck around a while. Decent amount of lacing. The brew smells mostly like bready/grainy malt along with some herbal hops and a bit of apple. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some dried stone fruit flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. It's an OK drinkable Oktoberfest but doesn't stand out in any way. Worth trying if you come across some, but I wouldn't make a point to seek it out either.
