Poured into nonic pint - color is copper, hazy/murky, head is light tan with fine bubbles and presents 1 inch thick, head leaves solid top, some lacing.
Smell is muted but notable malt - light caramel, toast, nutty notes, solidly a red/amber ale in character, light grassy/earthy hops.
Taste is quite good - not overly sweet, solid malt character: flavors of toast, caramel, light nutty character; hops are clean, grassy, light earth, maybe some pine, subdued but to style.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall a simple, easy drinking light red ale.
