Poured into narrow tulip pint glass: color is murky gold, quite dense, head is off white with small bubbles, presented 1+ finger thick then dissipates to a solid, thin top with some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is mixed tropicals, pineapple heavy, some cattiness, some spiciness, light malt, some honey sweetness, lighter citrus notes.

Taste is mixed tropicals, pineapple strong, spicy hops, biting, lighter citrus, maybe some lime and mango, honey sweetness, malt sweetness.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, strong sweetness, biting finish that I guess is bitterness but really is strong bite on the tongue and lingers throughout tasting.

Overall a spicily hopped and sweet NEIPA, really biting finish on the tongue in non-bitter way, so not really 'soft' finish.

Poured from the pounder into a nonic pint.

A: hazy pinapple juice color. Definite suspended solids. 3mm white head achieved with a vigorous 1/3 of the can finisher pour. Light soapy lacing.head compacts to a solid 1mm disk.

S: Pineapple, mango, tropical type stuff. No malt or yeast notes to speak of. I detect a bit of cattiness in there.

T: Kinda one-note, mostly light pineapple. Malt peeks in, but it's very light.

M: Slick and velvety then some medium carbonation rushes in and lightens it up a bit. Little, slight chalkiness at ultimate finish with a kiss of bitter-orange baby aspirin final out-breath.

O: Not terrible, but it's was a bit one-note on the juice box side. These hazies tend to do some of this for me. Must be a function of the lack of heavy hitters like piney, big WCIPA hops, etc. and their piney-ness. When you drink a WCIPA versus these NEIPA juice boxes, NEIPA first and then a WCIPA, you'll see the huge contrast in the styles. Worth a try.
