This is a well made IPA the harkens back to the WC IPA brewing method. Lemony, herbal, piney, cereal grainy malt with a dry and lightly bitter finish. Carbonation and feel are both excellent. Agree with a previous review, this is a C hop IPA with many left coast characteristics. Logyard is a sleeper brewery in PA and nationally as a matter of fact. They make worthy IPAs.

Logyard Brewing "Gentlemen's Agreement"
16 fl. oz. can, seemingly without production codes or freshness dating
$19.99/12 pk. Forest Hop variety case @ Javie's Beverage, Phila., PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: A rough pour has brought up an inch and a half of slightly off-white foam atop a hazy golden body. There's no mention of haziness on the label, but whatever. The aroma is softly hoppy with delicate citrus and pine. The taste follows and it's pretty clear that this is a "C" hops beer. I immediately thought of Chinook, although it's restrained, and probably Cascade and Centennial as well. What else could be in there, Columbus? Nah, I'm not getting any earthy-spiciness. This is mainly an old school California IPA BUT there is a light hint of berry, passionfruit, and apricot to it so it might include some Mosaic and Simcoe, or even something else. It's grainy and sweetish but also firmly bitter. I wish there were more hops to it but the little twist it has is quite nice. As for the haze there might be some oats going on but I can't taste them directly, nor do I taste any wheat. It's bready though, and I think this might be just pale ale malt. As it warms I'm getting more of a floral aroma from it which has got to be Cascade. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. The head held up well and it's left some nice lacing behind. All in all I appreciate that someone's making a kind of throwback Cali IPA but it does have a mild twist to it, and although I'm always up for more hops it is nicely balanced and very easy to drink. What's the ABV on this? 6.5% ~ oh yeah, that works; it's not so strong that you can't have two or three in a row. The only oddity in my mind is the haze, and I'm guessing that maybe it's just unfiltered.

Did not care for this one, not much flavor and mostly just bitter and scratchy. I like all types of IPAs, but this one does not deliver west coast bite or hazy juicies that I enjoy.

The crack to open a pint can sounds almost like a gunshot in a completely silent living room. Then, there's the ugly stark white foam. To get the contents of the pint can inside a clear glass liter mug became a mild challenge, but it was just barely made in one pour. With this much starchy foam, there's no doubt a wheat in the wort problem leads expectations to run low. But there will be no sympathy points awarded here. My, but the foam is taking its sweet time receding unevenly and unattractively, whilst leaving spotty glass lacing. A bias against the taste may already be settling in, just because of the visual and its history. Before the first taste, let's complete the visual by describing the liquid as a dull dark amber. The color is not so bad, the foam is. The smell is funky, almost skunky hops and not much else. Funky/skunky is fine, as long as it's a compliment to something else. As a stand alone, it's not such a pleasant smell. But, the taste is OK, especially for a barley malt deprived brew. No misunderstanding, this is not a recommendation. Once again, stark foamy white head equals an unbalanced taste and thin body. The hops here aren't necessarily strong, nor tasty enough to overcome the almost total lack of body and malty addition, so important to a great IPA. Don't go out of your way, or try it when there's something you know is good as an option.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, slight chill haze, but nearly transparent, head is bright white with fine bubbles, head presents 2 fingers thick and then dissipates to thin top with lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is subdued but comprised of mostly base malt with light biscuit and then hop blend of citrus pith, light tropicals, maybe some herbal notes.
Taste is similar subdued but a nice dry IPA: clean basemalt some light toast and biscuit, hops are citrus pith, mixed tropicals, light mint/herbs/grass. Not really emphatic and fairly dry/not overly sweet.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, lower sweetness, lower bitterness but dry, light lingering bitterness.
Overall a dry but not really bitter IPA with a mixed hop structure and lower sweetness maltiness.

On tap at Walnut Grill, Bridgeville 7/5/21. Met Tom and Barbie for dinner.
This is labeled as an IPA, but to me it's closer to an Imperial. Not overly sweet, though. Nice balance of hoppy and sweet. Very good offering!

Had this on 2021-05-29 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 16oz canned on 2021-04-27
A - Fairly-clear gold with a 1-finger white head that sticks around leaving good lace
S - Mild/subdued with whiffs of pineapple, bread and earthy spice.
T - Lightly-toasted white bread with orange marmalade. Mint. Moderately bitter in the finish; appropriate for the style. Enjoyable.
M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Crisp, moderately dry.
O - A good brew. Needs more oomph in the aroma. Well fermented and a pleasant but not challenging taste. I'd be happy to have this served at a local bar.

On tap at Little Brown Barrel, Minersville pa this evening.
Looks very good in the glass. Faintly hazy golden/amber body with a strong white head. This persists in strong form throughout leaving very good lacing.
Not much on the nose though.
This is a very smooth ipa. No major bites of anything, clean, and very easy drinking.
Mouth close to full, finish, well, not much of anything, but somehow pleasing.
Overall, bit of an odd duck, but could see myself enjoying a long session of this clean easy drinking ipa.

16 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass. Canned 3/5/21.
L---Hazy, rich golden color. Fluffy off-white head that faded quickly to a cap and left really nice lacing.
S---Full of tropical fruits, but in a lighter way than the taste. Mango, passionfruit & guava (?).
T---Stronger than the nose, but it follows closely. Plenty of tropical fruits.
F---Medium/full bodied. Ample carbonation. Feels bigger than 6.5% ABV
O---A really nice IPA. It almost seems to fall closer to a NEIPA than an American IPA, but who am I to determine styles.
