Delivered in a clear pint glass, just after being drawn from a tap, it arrived without much of a head. That seems to be the most common way craft beer is served in Philadelphia. There is plenty of carbonation, so this isn't flat at all. It's color is a dull apricot-amber that's quite opaque without being murky. The aroma is a muted one, some maltlike sweetness and some soft hoppiness, akin to plenty in its style. Initially, it's almost honey sweet at the onset taste, but that quickly gets balanced by some mild hopping. Those hops come across as a blend with citrusy and piney characters, but mild, almost bland. The glass lacing is nicely stratified and the mouthfeel is its best attribute. It drinks lightly, but rich and smoothly, too. The high ABV is barely noticeable, if at all. There are no fireworks for the mouth here, just a pleasant drinking experience.
