slightly hazy dark golden color, thin off-white head. nice well rounded hop aroma. taste is a bit of mix between WC and NE style IPA - medium bitterness. medium bodied.

First off, it's a great label. It's a self described American India Pale Ale, so some slack comparing it to the delicious original must be granted. Of course, there's a short-lived foamy stark white head on top of the pour of a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass. But worse have been observed. Beneath the white head is a clear and bright amber liquid. It has a mildly hoppy aroma, but not necessarily defined. The taste is mildly bitter via the hops, but certainly not noteworthy. It's best attribute is the sharp and clean hop taste at the finish. The body is light, but probably not too light to make this a decent American Pale Ale. Not bad at all, but sad to say, after a great label picture, there's not much more to recommend about this one.
