It's a little hard to make out the canned on date, but 8/28/2022 is my best guess. Anyway, two fingers of dense, creamy off-white head take shape over a deep golden/pale copper body. Head sticks around for a bit and leaves some spotty lacing. Doesn't smell terribly clean; something is a little off, but just a little. It's almost a little solvent-like, but not quite. Dig beneath that and there's the toasted grainy notes that you'd normally associate with the style. It's still slightly off-putting on the nose. Tastes fine enough; sweet and grainy up front with some earthy hop bite on the back end. Drinks a little soft, light and flat, though, and that's not really helping anything. Crispness, yo, is what we want in our 'Toberfests. Anyway, this must have replaced Logyard's Leaf Peeper marzen. It's not an improvement.

16oz can into a pint glass. NO freshness dating.
Initially looks very good, crystal clear pale amber body with a big loose bubbly head. After the second pour, body gets a good deal cloudier.
Aroma is malty, but also a little off, mild vomit.
Fortunately, the nose doesn't translate to the taste, which is initially sweet and malty, then a little earthy.
Mouth above medium, finish earthy and mildly bitter.
Overall, an okay Oktoberfest, but a long way from the top ones.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is copper, head is off white and presents 1 finger thick, then dissipates to a thin top, some lacing.
Smell is toasted malt, munich grape nuts note, very light grassiness.
Taste is similar and in range fo style - toasted malt, munich malt/grape nuts taste, light earth and grassy hops
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness; a little too soft/sweet.
Overall a pleasant, malt lager style beer - marzen specifics are slightly off but in range, but just seeking a bit more crisp presentation.
