Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is hazy straw, head is bright white with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick then dissipates to thin top and thicker ring along glass side, not much lacing.
Aroma is mixed citrus pith, light earth, some pine resin, some bready sweetness.
Taste is similar with more citrus forward flavor that leans orange grapefruit, some pine and light herbal notes, light bread and biscuit.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness but a lingering hop bite.
Overall a brew that fits is stated style, a little pith and biting but not bitter hops.

Notes via stream of consciousness: A very hazy golden body is capped by a finger's width of white foam. The aroma is mainly citrusy, kind of like an old school IPA. I'm getting orange, a little bit of grapefruit, and some soft pine. Who would possibly dare to use old school hops in a hazy IPA? !!! THAT'S CRAAAZY! On to the taste... it's as the aroma suggests. I'm guessing that this is probably Cascade, Columbus, and Chinook but I could be wrong. As for the grain bill however, it seems they've gone 'new school' and used oats and wheat with 2-row. I like it! In fact I love it ~ I love the soft floral note that oats lend, and they haven't overdone the wheat which can leave it to bready; this is perfect. It straddles the fence between old and new, and since I'm an old guy I have an affinity for old school hops. There's a nice bit of apple from the yeast, and although I'd have preferred a touch more Chinook to give it some kick I think it's actually better off as it is because it's really nicely balanced and super easy to drink, or "crushable" as the kids say these days. There's some light "hop burn" to it that works with the moderate-median hop bitterness, and it finishes mainly dry with the juicy and citrusy character lingering. In the mouth it's medium to medium-light in body, and crisp-then-smooth with a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation that fades allowing the extra proteins to leave it silky. I'm almost through the glass and I don't see any yeast or proteins caked on the bottom which is nice, and I feel that this is a really well-executed and highly polished and rounded IPA with a lot of charm to it. It won't knock anyone's socks off so it'll probably receive only middling scores but in my opinion it's great. The head retention and lacing could have been a little better but other than that it's a winner.

This one is well in the shadow of finer hazy. Not bad, drinkable, quenching but just not in the class that I normally shoot for. A good choice for those not into full flavored & advanced hazys.
