Clear yellow brew with plenty of foam in the Scotch thistle. This is quite robust in the mouthfeel, with big malt and substantial body. Rather sweet but nicely hopped. Quite fruity and fragrant with citrus and orange blossoms. Hops are listed as Citra Cryo, Strata, and HBC-586. This is quite tasty but it does get a bit thick and sweet after some sipping. Flavors of pineapple and grapes, kind of like a fruity but unidentifiable pudding. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's.

Thanks to @2beerdogs for sending this anniversary lager my direction as part of his ninja strike during NBS BIF #16!!
The liquid in the pour is a lovely crisp clear pale golden that is completely see through... I can read through the glass! The head is short lived. Wet bubbles that fadae away pretty quick and don't leave much behind.
Aroma is actually pretty impressive as soon as I pop the top. If this is what 'thiol-boosting' is supposed to accomplish, it's more successful here than it was in the other brew that mentioned the process that he sent. Sweet fruity/floral hops up front that fade to grassy/earthy with straw malts underneath. Maybe a bit of spice in there as well.
Flavour doesn't offer nearly the same richness as the aroma did. It's much more dull earthy up front and throughout with a thin vein of sweet strata hop fruit in the middle of it, but without the smoothe transitions that the aroma offered.
This manifests on the finish as almost a bit of alcohol flavour (though there's no burn or anything).
Heavily carbonated, it's clean but I don't know that I'd consider it overly crisp. The sweet note that turns into the alcohol flavour above lingers pretty heavy alongside the floral/grassy hops, and is not as pleasant as that pastoral scene.
Thanks Derek for sending this along!!
