A good brewery conveniently located near other good breweries, so makes it easy to hit a few other breweries, namely NOLA, Port Orleans, and Urban South. A good brewery to relax and have some good beers.

I visited Miel while traveling in New Orleans not too long ago. On my visit, they had 14 taps on, representing a good variety of styles -- 4 IPAs, to be sure, but also a braggot, Baltic porter, schwarzbier, hefeweizen, an imperial stout, a couple sours, a pale, Czech amber lager, and a "Central American style lager". A really, really interesting selection!

I had a flight, and of the beers I tried, the schwarzbier was my favorite; the fruited sour was quite good as well. The other beers were also pretty good, on the tastier side of the spectrum, if not as good as the first two. They will also mix you a michelada with the central American lager, which my wife ordered and enjoyed.

They've got a clean, simple taproom with a light industrial feel and a big, open, welcoming patio area that's shaded and convivial with a ping pong table. Service at the bar is friendly and quick; if I ever make it back to New Orleans I definitely want to make another stop at Miel.

Great stop to do in conjunction with NOLA brewery as they are about 2 blocks apart.

This place has a terrific outside space. Tons of seating, lots of green plants and enough space to feel like you are not crowded together but close enough to other patrons were you still feel like part of a nice happening.

Inside is the service bar, more seating and the bathrooms.

Service was friendly and quick and handled the crowds with a smile.

The beers were good. I had a Kolsch and Czec Pilsner that were tasty.

My favorite of the three breweries we visited that day.

Nice open concept tap room that flows into a large courtyard. We played Super NES on a TV in the corner of the tap room. Good selection, quality beers and friendly staff. One of my favorites in Nola. Only downside is that the tap list wasn't very extensive.

While it's right off a busy throughway, and on a road that was thoroughly torn apart for construction, walking up to the second stop on our relatively long distance, slow-mo beer crawl felt like we were suddenly in a rural oasis in the middle of this urban landscape. It looks and feels like a hipster barn, and has such a blanketing flow of suitably mellow vibes inside that it's almost zen.

While the taplist is fairly modest compared to the surrounding breweries, it features a nice variety, and a deliberate one at that. Each beer seems like they've been shepherded to their current state with a steady, loving hand. And while the pilsner seemed off-style, at the same time it was pretty delicious and oddly comforting.

This was a surprisingly pleasant stop in a town we otherwise look more forward to bustling cocktail bars than quaint little breweries.

New brewery in NOLA. Very chill atmosphere with a N64 and bags set up. Beautiful bar inside with ample outdoor seating. Check the food truck schedule. Beer selection is growing each time I’ve been back. Beers are all around solid, flights available. Just steps away from NOLA Brewing too so it’s nice to hop between the two.
