Some stouts are good, some are just OK, and the barrel-aged ones are awesome. This one fits in the OK category. I sampled my wife's beer as she really liked stouts.

32oz crowler picked up at the source
Poured into a Bissell Brothers Three Rivers pint glass
p- pours black as night w/ a big tan head
n- med aroma of baker's chocolate, roast, and licorice
t- follows nose; this is solid- balanced choc and roast throughout; some earthiness as well; finishes with lots of bitter charred roast; gets sweeter as it warms; nicely-executed, traditional imperial stout profile
mf- med-full bodied; med-high carb; coating fin
o- really well-done offering; although I prefer imperial stouts to be a bit sweeter, this one was definitely good; I look forward to trying more from these guys next time we're in the area

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
