Lightproof black beer with a tall brown colored head.
Smells sweet and strongly of patent malt. Light cherry scent. Scents of chocolate and coffee. Scent of oak cask. Scent of vanilla but not really whiskey.
Starts out Mildly sweet with an alcohol sting on the tongue. Alcohol is there with a bittersweet chocolate taste. Mild whiskey taste, mostly caramel and vanilla. Mostly this is bittersweet chocolate. No real detectable hop flavor.
Mouthfeel is good and thick.
Overall not bad at all. Some aging would mellow out the alcohol a bit.
