Poured from a magnum bottle numbered 164 of 200 of Batch 1, into a chalice. Labeled as a Belgian Style Golden Strong Ale, it has an orange hue color with lots of carbonation. Aroma is no less than fantastic. The taste is very good and only slightly sweet. Has some fruit flavors like banana, and maybe a hint tart. Very complex and dazzles the tongue with fizzy, almost peppery tastes. So smooth you can't find any alcohol. It's not as sweet as most of this kind of style, a blend I suppose of Strong Ale and Golden Ale, like a Delirium Tremens met BJ's Gran Cru. Mouthfeel is really just very different. I can't really think of anything it reminds me of. No heavy sugar just a kind of fizziness that tickles your tongue. Almost like heat but it's not hot. Amazing beer and I feel really blessed to get one of these bottles. From Topeka, Kansas. Iron Rail Brewing.
