We took our favorite cream ale recipe and made the decision to lager it. We ended up with our most popular, easy-drinking light beer on tap. Corn Fed is light bodied but still rich in flavor.

Had Corn Fed at the Hix Farm Tap Room, Cookeville, Tenn., on draft into 5-oz. sampler tulip, and later poured from pint can, hand-filled at the Tap Room, into nonic pint.
Pours bright gold with clarity and minimal, fizzing near-white head, soon gone, that leaves no lace. Aroma of grassy hops off pour, then sweet malt, and a bit of mild stone fruit as warms. Begins sweet and malty with only moderate carbonation, which gives way to a smooth malt body, before some fruit arrives, and carries into a minimal hop bite, for a clean finish.
A slightly-challenging but still easy-drinking cream ale.
