A light toasty and biscuity ale with subtle caramel and toffee notes. This light malt balanced ale is too clean and smooth for its own good.

Had on tap at the brewery
On arrival a very fine off white 1 finger head was present on top of a clear but dark red body with active fine carbonation.
Aroma is very Irish with some light but present stone fruit esters and a light earthy hop note. A bit of funk along with a sweet toasted dark malt.
Taste is very similar to the aroma but quite sweet. A nice standard but very smooth irish red yeast note along with very caramelized malts makes for as promised, a very smooth Irish red ale, that to the untrained tongue could be confused for a darker lager, although it is very sweet.
Feel is decently carbonated but it is very fine and smooth, not quite to the point of a nitro feel, but very malty and nice. Finish is relatively short with a light happiness and strong maltiness that fades fast priming you for another sip. Mouthfeel is actually relatively dry, but there is a slight chest warming feel.
Overall this is a good take on an Irish red. Very malty and light, again as promised, but true to style and easy to drink. A malt bomb one might say.
