Had on tap at the brewery
On arrival a 1 finger khaki head forms then over a few minutes dissipates to a decent cap covering the beer. Body is a solid black with no light coming through at all. No lacing but the cap remains for a good long while.
Aroma is almost like guinness with dark roasted malts providing some sweet dark chocolate and creamy coffees. Very rich roasty and smooth. Almost desert like. Super clean.
Taste follows the smell but brings even more roasty malts with a slight sweetness along with it. Not a very bitter beer but lightly sweet super drinkable and a very nice dark beer. If you like Guinness Draught you will like this a lot. The chocolate remains but it's almost milky mixed with a bit of coffee. Super smooth lager.
Feel is again super smooth and drinkable. Slightly creamy despite being a co2 beer woth a light co2 bite and a relatively light for the color body while maintaining a mouthcoating maltiness and medium long finish.
Overall a delicious swarzbier that surprisingly pairs really well with nachos. Delicious malty and sweet while still being light and the sweetness isn't overwhelming.
