Lake Zurich Brewing Company

Bare bones tasting room tucked in the back of an industrial park. No signage from the road, you basically have to rely on GPS, as there are multiple identical driveways.

Small inside, a flatscreen on the wall, several tables for seating. Beers available are listed on the left, there were around 8 available. 6-8 beers to go in cans. Selection was ok, mostly IPA’s, a couple sour things, a lager and a cream ale. Quality was ok, the 10K Butterflies was probably the highlight. Phase 3 brews out of here, and they occupy one rotating draft line.

John the staff guy was friendly and chatted beer while it was slow. I guess they self distribute as far as Antioch to La Salle to Joliet and also do a lot of festivals. Templestowe in the city is one of their draft accounts, haven’t seen them anywhere else local though. Beermiscuous and Beer Temple get cans occasionally.

 

Brewery and small tap room located in a suburban industrial complex. The tap room has a few tables and an ordering counter but no bar. The quality of their beer is average to slightly above. Service is fine. There is a selection of beer on tap and a cooler with cans to go.
