Vice Brewing Company

 

This brewery opened in May, 2018 in the space formerly occupied by Griess Family Brewery (no connection per the bartender). The pub is in a storefront setting, and the interior is about the same as my previous visit to Griess 3 years ago. A small L-shaped bar, a number of chairs/tables, and some stuffed furniture. Several TVs were also noted.

We ordered a sampler flight of all 10 of their beers that were on tap that day. Most are only average or modestly above average for their respective style with not much excitement to go beyond. Most are in need of some tweaking to get to the point that would cause me to go back. However, the California Common needs a major reworking of the recipe. I can't describe the off-flavor, but it wasn't a good beer.

We didn't have any food here, just snacks, but the menu described 7 apps and 7 'mains' that were a burger, wrap, wings, etc. There are better choices in town, but hopefully the brewer here will work on making the beers better over time.
