On draught at the brewery.
A dark pour with a beige head and slippery lacing.
Roasted malt and coffee flavors dominate.
A little light on the mouthfeel, and dry on the finish.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a dark
brownish with a modest head of khaki foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some light lacing. Nose of dark
coffee, dark cocoa, and subtle cream dashed with dark berry nuances.
Flavors follow the nose with coffee, cocoa, cream, roast, and dark fruits
of black and blueberry. Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation and a
moderately dry finish.
Overall, the only real knock on this is the subtly thin mouth feel, other than
that it is a solid offering!
Cheers

12 ounce can, label says 5.5% ABV. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! I've tried this at the brewery before but haven't done a proper review of this so it was nice getting a can to try. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Coffee dominates in the aroma, along with some roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt flavors too. As with the aroma, I think the coffee stands out in the taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink, too. I liked this one, it's a good overall coffee stout that's worth picking up if you're into this style of beer!

I'm trying this off the tapper at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white ring head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had bold notes of coffee. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good coffee presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
