On draught at the brewery.
A murky brown pour with a thin beige head and almost no lacing.
Tangy chocolate malt flavor, leafy notes, subtle dark fruit and nuttiness.
Light-medium bodied mouthfeel and semidry on the finish.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via the brewery while there
with Bluejacket74. This solid brown pours a deep brown with
thin tea highlights and a nice head of off white foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and shows some nice lacing.
Nose of dark roasted malts, hints of char, coffee, and dark
chocolate notes. Flavors follow the nose with nutty malts,
coffee, dark chocolate, earthy malt notes, and subtle herbal
hop elements. Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium light
carbonation, and a lightly dry roasted malt finish.
Overall, a solid little brown ale!
Cheers

12 ounce bottle, no dating I noticed on it. Purchased at the brewery hanging out with Brutaltruth a few weeks ago! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a dark brown color with about a inch light tan head. Head retention is decent, and there's a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like nuts, cocoa, coffee and a bit of dark fruit. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of some earthiness. Nice balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, worth a try if you're ever at the brewpub.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear dark amber with no head and no lace. The scent had earth and yeast malt presence with subtle nutty highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink at the front with dark yeast malt base and dry clean finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
