I picked this beer up in Montreal on a wild road trip with my girlfriend. Totsl crap shoot and reviewed with Shawn Sorcenelli from Cedarville Wine and Spirits.
What an odd beer. The head is fizzy and light and dissapears quickly. The chunks of yeast floating around in my glass are off-putting. It makes you wonder what the hell you are putting in your mouth yet the flavor of this beer is ridiculous. It has a champagne, dry, doughy zap that finishes slightly sour...pungent. For a 14% beer it drinks alright. I can't put it down and while I've drank my share of odd brews, this will register as one of the oddest.

Big brown bottle. Labelled as "biere de degustation", which probably sounds better in French...
Clear gold with a fizzy white, quickly dropping head. Odd translucent white floaties as well. Nose is champagne with toffee and apple. Surprisingly dry for a huge beer, and very bitter. Huge alcohol presence. Minerals, apple, fruit, pears, light tropical fruit and grapes. Astringent with a very sharp carbonation that verges on painful. Medium body. Poorly balanced mix of harsh elements. Difficult to drink.
